Houston is full of great street art and murals, and sometimes the best ones hiding in plain sight.
BBVA Compass Stadium's famed "Bright Orange Brick Wall" has gained recognition in the Bayou City's burgeoning street art scene and was recently added to WEAR + WHERE + WELL's Houston Mural Guide. The guide, originally published in September 2016 and updated twice since, provides locations, tips, and photos of 67 of the most colorful wall murals in the city.
"Bright Orange Brick Wall" was designed by global architecture firm Populous and completed in 2012. The minimalist design encircles the entire outer wall of the stadium, making it one of the largest murals on the list. The guide notes that it's best to avoid game days to make sure you get an uninterrupted spot on the wall for your photo shoots, but there's not a bad time to during the day to get the right shade of orange.
