Following an impressive come-from-behind victory against the San Jose Earthquakes on the road, the Houston Dynamo are back at Houston Sports Park to prepare for a home matchup against Minnesota United FC. Coming off a 4-0 thrashing of Premier League side Everton, the Loons are unbeaten in their last five in Major League Soccer - but only sit six points above the Dynamo heading into tomorrow night's match.
Rookie attacker Thor Úlfarsson comes into the weekend in fine form, starting four of the past five matches for the Dynamo and netting two goals along that span. The Duke alum sits one goal behind tying the rookie record for goals in a single season - set by Will Bruin in 2011.
The first 2,500 fans will get a plush Diesel Shoulder Buddy courtesy of Heriberto Ramos. The shoulder buddy has a magnetic tab you can slip under your shirt to allow Dynamo Diesel to perch on your shoulder all game long. Tickets for that match are available online at HoustonDynamoFC.com/Tickets.
Héctor Herrera enters tomorrow match on the heels of his first start and full ninety-minute performance for the Club since his arrival. The El Tri midfielder ranked second among starters last weekend in pass accuracy percentage with 86%.
