Mexico U-20 winger Luis Marquez scored two goals to close the first half to defeat the MLS Homegrown Team in the annual Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game on Wednesday night at Avaya Stadium in San Jose.
Houston Dynamo midfielder Christian Lucatero entered as a substitute for the final 17-plus minutes and was very active, linking up often in the attacking half as the Homegrowns looked to cut their deficit. He finished with one shot, which he pulled wide from the edge of the box in the 82nd minute, and served in two corner kicks.
