A Houston Dynamo Academy product is garnering attention in Florida at the 2018 Concacaf U-20 Championship.
Forward Jaden Servania was named the Player of the Day on Monday by the regional federation for his performance in a 2-1 for Puerto Rico over Suriname. It was Puerto Rico's first-ever win at the U-20 Championship.
Suriname took a 1-0 lead against Puerto Rico in the 25th minute, but Servania led the comeback for the Boricuas by scoring in the 73rd minute and again in the 93rd minute.
Servania followed up that performance on Wednesday with a hat trick against the U.S. Virgin Islands in a dominant 8-0 win.
Servania joined the Dynamo Academy in the 2017-18 season and scored three goals with the U-17s. He has made three appearances for the U-19s this season.
The Concacaf U-20 Championship is being held at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida from November 1-21. A record 34 teams are competing for the regional crown. Servania and Puerto Rico have group stage matches against the U.S. Virgin Islands (Wednesday) and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (Friday) remaining.
