Houston Dynamo Academy midfielder Marcelo Palomino was called up to the U.S. U-16 Boys National Team for a 10-day training camp in Buenos Aires, Argentina from February 3-12 by head coach Shaun Tsakiris.
Palomino, 15, is one of 21 players selected for the camp. During their time in Argentina, the U-16s will compete in three friendlies against clubs from different neighborhoods around Buenos Aires: A.A. Argentino Juniors (La Paternal), San Lorenzo de Almagro (Boedo) and Racing Club de Avellaneda (Avellaneda). The midfielder is in residency in Bradenton, Florida with the U.S. U-17 Men's National Team.
The U-16 BNT was last together in December 2016 for the IMG Cup, playing a year up and still sweeping their three games and outscoring opponents 17-0. Palomino started all three games and scored a goal.
