Houston Dynamo Academy midfielder Marcelo Palomino (No. 10, above) closed out 2016 with with a perfect record at the IMG Cup in Florida with the U.S. U-16 Boys National Team.
Palomino started all three matches for the U.S. as they cruised to a 3-0-0 record to finish atop the Boys Invitational U-17 Blue Division. The U-16s piled up a 6-0 result against Next Gen Academy, another 6-0 scoreline against FC Florida, and finished off Miramar United with a score of 5-0. Palomino scored a goal against FC Florida, goal scorers in the other two games were not immediately available.
Palomino was one of four players on the 23-player roster with four years of training in a Development Academy program, and one of five currently in Residency with the U-17 national team.
