Three age groups saw action last week as the Dynamo Academy outscored their opponents 24-5 over four games.
The U-13 team traveled to the Alamo City on Saturday for their first road trip of the season. A brace from Jorge Martinez and goals from Jorge Estrada, Joshua Jaimes and Salem Sharif gave the Dynamo a 5-2 victory over San Antonio FC.
The U-15 squad joined the U-13 team in the Alamo City over the weekendand scored the first goal of the game in the 19th second of the game. Houston defeated San Antonio FC 11-3 with goals from Jackson, Santana and a hat trick from Andre Gitau.
“It was good to see the boys perform at such a high-level over the weekend in San Antonio. Yes, there was a lot of goals, but even more impressive was the intent and quality of our overall play,” Dynamo Academy Director Paul Holocher said. “There were many sequences of strong possession, building-up from the back, good decision-making and dynamic individual actions that really were a great reflection of our game model.”
Earlier in the week, the Dynamo Academy earned a two-game sweep against Dynamo Unidosat Houston Sports Park.
Osagie Akhigbe, Jaidyn Contreras, Ryan Sterling and Cooper Yi scored for the Dynamo U-14 side that faced heavy pressure at the beginning of the match. The U-14 Dynamo Academy team opened the two-game series with a 4-0 victory over Dynamo Unidos at Houston Sports Park last Tuesday.
Sebastian Alvarez, Axel Gonzalez, Parker Jackson and Daniel Santana led the U-15 squad to the second 4-0 victory of the series with Dynamo Unidos. The goals included a 14-pass buildup for the second goal of the game in the seventh minute of the match.
The U-13, U-14 and U-15 Dynamo Academy teams travel to the state capital this weekend to face Austin FC.
