The Houston Dynamo Academy hosted their annual Dynamo celebration over Memorial Day weekend to honor the graduating members of the U-18 team. The seniors gave speeches about their time with the club and what it has meant to them.
All of the graduating players will continue their soccer career at college. Below are where each player will be attending this fall:
- Charles Filby – Virginia Tech
- Rene Chavez – Richlands College
- Christian Molina – Northern Illinois University
- Cameron Walker – West Texas A&M University
- Quayyum Murana – St. Louis University
- Lucio Martinez – Richlands College
- Mason Schuster – University of North Carolina Wilmington
- Roberto Marquez – Richlands College
- Thomas Menke – Wake Forest University
- Erwin Regules – Lubbock Christian University
The U-18s wrapped up regular season play this past Sunday at Houston Sports Park, where they beat FC Dallas 2-1 to complete the Texas Derby trifecta weekend.
The boys have qualified for the playoffs, placing 5th in the the US Soccer Development Academy league among 70+ teams, and will continue competing into July.
Best of luck to the seniors as they compete in the playoffs their final year and this fall when they head off to campuses across the country. You'll always be Forever Orange.
