If you didn't get enough eMLS last month, fear not – the next event is right around the corner.
Details for eMLS League Series Two dropped on Wednesday, with the upcoming event set to give fans and participants alike a unique look into the history of US soccer – not to mention another thrilling evening of EA Sports FIFA 19 action.
The second event of the 2019 eMLS season will take place on Sunday, February 17 at the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Frisco, Texas, starting at 4:30 pm CT. Opened in 2018, the Hall of Fame is a museum is dedicated to celebrating the United States' rich soccer history, weaving US soccer history and technology to provide a unique look into the game's past and future.
As part of their evening at the Hall of Fame, fans in attendance will have the opportunity to be a part of the live audience for the League Series Two stream, where they can cheer on Houston Dynamo eMLS Cup champion Kid M3mito. They can also get free food and beverages and create personal FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) cards. Fans can register below:
Each of the 22 players representing an MLS team will compete in a round-robin regular season before the League Series Two live stream begins. Just like in soccer across the globe, players will earn three points for a win, one for a tie and zero for a loss. The top four gamers in each of the Eastern and Western Conferences will then advance to compete for the title – and a $5,000 prize in the live streamed, single-elimination tournament.
In addition to advancement in League Series Two, the points earned that day will have a larger bearing on players' positioning for eMLS Cup. The five players with the most accumulated points across League Series One and Two, as well as the eMLS Cup regular season, will be seeded into the eMLS Cup finals bracket, while the final seed will be reserved for the winner of a Last Chance Bracket featuring remaining players.
For fans who want to catch all the action but can't make it to the event, League Series Two will be live streamed on MLSsoccer.com, Twitch and Twitter. Be sure to also follow @eMLS on Twitter to stay up to date on the latest details on League Series Two, eMLS Cup and more.
