With our first practice, Coach Jesse and I were very excited to get going to meet the players and families of this first official Unified Dynamo team for Houston. We were both pleasantly surprised by the level of our athletes and of our partners as well. We expected to have solid players, but were blown away by the talent and heart for the game that we saw.
The athletes were all excited to be out there and it definitely showed in their competitive play. The technical ability of the athletes was much more than we expected and the entire team was very eager to learn. We spent the beginning of practice getting to know one another and then went straight to work!
We worked on some basic agility and technical drills followed by a light scrimmage. At the end of practice, the coaches were ecstatic and could see the potential in this newly founded team!
