Geoff Cameron is no stranger to Houston.
The former Dynamo midfielder/defender was drafted in the third round of the 2008 MLS SuperDraft, and quickly became an important player for Houston in his rookie season. After coming into the league as a central midfielder, his versatility allowed head coach Dominic Kinnear to transition Cameron into a center back role in 2009. The move paid immediate dividends for Cameron and the Dynamo, as the Massachusetts native would go on to be named to the MLS All-Star team and end-of-year Best XI.
Cameron missed much of the 2010 season with a knee injury, but returned in 2011 again as an MLS All-Star before moving in the 2012 summer transfer window to Stoke City in England.
His return to Houston will surely be a memorable one, as he and the U.S. Men's National Team will have a sellout crowd against Argentina at NRG Stadium on Tuesday night.
