The Houston Dynamo came out of their cross-country road trip with six points, but not completely unscathed. Midfielder Ricardo Clark missed the midweek win in D.C. with a left adductor strain and forward Giles Barnes exited the match early on Wednesday with a right hamstring strain. Both starters are listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup against Sporting Kansas City in Friday's injury report, presented by The Methodist Center for Sports Medicine.
Joining Barnes and Clark as questionable on the report are goalkeeper Tyler Deric (right ankle), midfielder Warren Creavalle (right hamstring) and forward Cam Weaver (lower back). Forwards Calen Carr (left knee) and Omar Cummings (right knee) are listed as out for Sunday.
The Dynamo made do without Clark on Wednesday night, moving captain Brad Davis into the middle of the pitch and slotting Andrew Driver on the left side of the midfield. Replacing Giles Barnes could be a little more difficult, as only two forwards are not listed on the injury report: veteran Brian Ching and rookie Jason Johnson. Ching replaced Barnes for the final 53 minutes against D.C. United and provided the assist on Will Bruin's second goal of the match.
Sporting Kansas City lists forward Teal Bunbury as out (left knee sprain) on their injury report, but his loss could be blunted by the return of former Dynamo forward Kei Kamara, who recently returned from a loan stint at Norwich City in the English Premier League. Bobby Convey (right Achilles sprain), Matt Besler (right knee sprain) and Paolo Nagamura (right ankle sprain) are all questionable to play on Sunday. None of the three were in the lineup in Sporting's midweek 1-0 loss to the Seattle Sounders.
