Houston Dynamo 2 acquired midfielder Yair González on loan for the remainder of 2023 from Argentinos Juniors, the team announced today.
“Yair is a young, dynamic attacking player that can change the game in an instant,” Dynamo assistant general manager, Nick Kowba said. “His movement and 1V1 ability on the dribble excite us and we feel he can make an impact for the team in the final third.”
González joins Dynamo 2 after two years with Argentinos Juniors from the Primera Division in Argentina. The 20-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Argentine club in Feb. 2021. Prior to his time with Argentino Juniors, González played with Chacarita Juniors in the second division and made 17 appearances, scoring three goals for the club.
