Clark finished with five saves against Miami.
Dynamo defender Franco Escobar was denied in the 13th minute by DeAndre Yedlin. Midfielder Adalberto “Coco” Carrasquilla found the Argentine outside back at the far post for a volley that bounced off the Miami defender.
The Dynamo knocked on the door again in the 36th minute off a free kick. Herrera found forward Iván Franco at the far post, and he played the header across the heart of the box, but the ball went behind Hadebe before he could adjust for a shot.
Herrera forced a save in the 44th minute with a shot from the edge of the box. The Dynamo kept applying pressure at the start of the second half following a combination between Bassi and Baird. The duo combined at the edge of the box to create a shot for Baird, but his effort just missed the inside of the near post in the 46th minute.
Houston knocked on the door again in the 64th minute after midfielder Artur played a ball into the edge of the box for Bassi, but the forward’s effort went wide of the far post.
