HOUSTON (Oct. 29, 2026) – Major League Soccer and Houston Dynamo FC today announced the team’s full schedule for the 2027 MLS Sprint Season, which marks the launch of the league's transition into the new summer-to-spring calendar in 2027-28.
The fast-paced, high-stakes four-month campaign will see the Dynamo face each of their 14 Western Conference rivals once, with seven matches at Shell Energy Stadium and seven on the road.
Houston will open the season at home against Sporting Kansas City on Feb. 20, before traveling west to face the San Jose Earthquakes on Feb. 27 for the team's first road trip of the campaign.
The top eight teams in each conference will qualify for the Audi 2027 MLS Cup Playoffs, a single elimination postseason culminating in MLS Cup presented by Audi on Memorial Day Weekend, crowning the 2027 MLS Cup Champions.
Every playoff match, including MLS Cup, will be hosted by the team with the higher position in the final Supporters’ Shield standings, giving the Dynamo the opportunity to bring postseason soccer to Shell Energy Stadium. Sprint Season performance will also determine qualification for the 2028 Concacaf Champions Cup and Leagues Cup.
Individual match tickets and packages for all home matches will be announced and
made available at a later date in December. Fans can text SPRINT to 275748 to receive exclusive presale access before tickets go on sale to the public.

Energy Stadium.Â
The Dynamo’s Copa Tejas matchups will see the Dynamo host Austin FC on April 3 and visit FC Dallas on April 24 as they aim to reclaim the title they won in 2025. Houston earned a 3-0 victory over Austin and a 2-2 draw versus Dallas in 2026. Five of Houston’s seven home matches will be played on Saturdays, including an early kickoff versus the LA Galaxy on March 13 at 2 p.m. CT. The Dynamo will also play a Sunday match on April 18 at LAFC. The full Sunday Night Soccer presented by Continental Tire schedule will be announced at a later date.
Houston will close the regular season at Real Salt Lake on Decision Day, Saturday, May 8, when all Western Conference matches will kick off at 7 p.m. CT.Â
