HOUSTON (Monday, Jan. 22, 2024) - Houston Dynamo FC today announced 12 theme nights for their home matches during the regular season to welcome fans to Shell Energy Stadium. The Dynamo kickoff the regular season on Feb. 24 when they host Sporting Kansas City for the Home Opener, powered by Shell Energy, and celebrate their 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup championship with a banner raising ceremony prior to the match.
Tickets for all matches are now available on SeatGeek, the official ticketing partner of the Club.
Just a week after the home opener, the Club will celebrate local Houston sports participants from the amateur to professional ranks during Houston Sports Night on March 2 when they host the New York Red Bulls.

Additionally, the Club will recognize and celebrate the Asian American and Pacific Islander community on May 18 when the Dynamo host FC Dallas at Shell Energy Stadium, presented by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
The match on June 19 observes the legacy of Juneteenth when the Dynamo host Seattle Sounders FC. The holiday commemorates the effective end of slavery in the United States when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865, to announce that the Civil War had ended and enslaved people were free.
The Club celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community on June 29 when Houston welcomes Charlotte FC to Shell Energy Stadium. Members of the Armed Forces will be recognized on July 7 when the Dynamo hosts LAFC. This is the first meeting between both teams since the 2023 Western Conference Final and the match is presented by Heriberto Ramos & Associates, the official Personal Injury Attorney of the Club. Houston Dynamo FC and Houston Dash Charities will expand on their in-game program that recognizes members of our armed forces and first responders throughout the year.
The Club celebrates all things Houston, the city it has called home for the last 19 years, when they host Minnesota United FC on July 13 for “H-Town Night.” More details for the evening will be shared following reveal of the new Dynamo kit next month.
The Dynamo host Kids Day on Aug. 24 when Toronto FC arrives in Houston and plays the Club for the first time since 2019. Celebrating the last days of summer, the festivities around the match include a special gate giveaway for kids, a celebration of Diesel’s birthday and post-match fireworks.
Houston will celebrate the annual Kick Childhood Cancer Night on Sept. 18 when they host Vancouver Whitecaps FC. The annual event features an honorary captain and additional activations facilitated by Houston Dynamo FC and Houston Dash Charities and MLS Works.
Hispanic Heritage Night, presented by Coushatta Casino Resort, is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14 when the Dynamo host Real Salt Lake. The two teams met in the Round One Best-of-3 Series last year during the Audi 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs. Houston also defeated Real Salt Lake to advance to the final of the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
Fan Appreciation Night, presented by Verizon, is scheduled for Oct. 19 when the Dynamo host the LA Galaxy on Decision Day, the last day of the MLS regular season. This is the third time both teams have met for the final match of the season since 2018 and the Dynamo hold a 2-1-0 (WLD) record in that stretch.
