Houston Dynamo FC forward Sebastian Ferreira was named to the MLSSoccer.com Team of the Week for Week 6 earlier today.
Ferreira scored his first MLS goal in Houston’s 4-3 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday. The goal came off a corner kick in the seventh minute after defender Adam Lundkvist found an unmarked Ferreira with a low, driven cross and the Paraguayan international beat JT Marcinkowski at the near post.
Ferreira’s second goal came in the 68th minute off of an assist by forward Fafa Picault.
The forward is the third Dynamo player to earn this honor in 2022. Joining Picault, who earned Team of the Week accolades in Week 5 and forward Darwin Quintero, who did so in Week 3.
Ferreira and the Dynamo are back in action next as part of a doubleheader against the Portland Timbers at PNC Stadium at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 16. In the second leg of the doubleheader, Dynamo 2 will take on Timbers 2 at 8:00 p.m. For tickets and additional information, visit HoustonDynamoFC.com.
