HOUSTON (Jan. 24, 2025) – Houston Dynamo FC midfielder Jefferson Valverde will join Ecuadorian side Orense Sporting Club on loan for the 2025 season, the Club announced today.
Valverde signed with the Dynamo on a full transfer from LDU Quito in Ecuador in April 2024 and made his MLS debut as a second half substitute against the LA Galaxy on May 25. The midfielder spent most of last season with Houston Dynamo 2 in MLS NEXT Pro, where he appeared in 15 matches and registered two assists, while helping the team secure their third consecutive postseason berth.
Prior to joining Houston, the 25-year-old made his topflight debut with El Nacional in Ecuador’s LigaPro Serie A, joining the club in January 2023 and making 15 appearances. In July of that year, the midfielder transferred to LDU Quito where he helped the team win to its 12th league title and first since 2018, and second CONMEBOL Copa Sudamericana title.
