Houston Dynamo FC will host San Antonio FC from the USL Championship at 7:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday, May 11 at PNC Stadium in the Round of 32 of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
The fixture was determined in a draw in South Florida this morning, with results posted live on Twitter through the official Open Cup account, @opencup.
Houston Dynamo 365 Members will receive their seats for this match at no cost as a benefit of their Membership. Information on single-game ticket sales will be announced in the coming days.
Houston advanced to the Round of 32 by defeating Rio Grande Valley 2-1 on Tuesday evening. Defender Sam Junqua scored the game-winning goal in the final minutes of stoppage time, his second goal for the Club, while goalkeeper Michael Nelson came through with a crucial save on a penalty kick midway through the second half to set the stage for Junqua’s game-winner. With Tuesday’s victory the Dynamo are unbeaten in their last six games in all competitions and have won 11 points in that stretch.
San Antonio advanced to the next round by defeating Austin FC in extra time on Wednesday evening. San Antonio came from behind to level the game in the final 10 minutes of regulation and defeated their in-state rival courtesy of a goal from Carter Manley in the opening minutes of extra time.
This match, along with every other matchup in the Open Cup Round of 32, will be streamed live on ESPN+.
