Houston Dynamo FC acquired $100,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) from Inter Miami CF in a trade for forward Ari Lassiter, the clubs announced today. Houston will receive $50,000 in GAM in 2022, $50,000 in GAM in 2023 and additional GAM if performance-based incentives are met.
Lassiter joined the Dynamo on loan from LD Alajuelense in Costa Rica on Aug. 17, 2020. He scored three goals and tallied an assist in his first season with the Dynamo and the Club exercised the purchase option following the 2020 season. The forward played in 19 games and earned four starts for Houston in 2021.
Lassiter was one of three players to represent the Dynamo at the 2021 Concacaf Nations League earlier this summer. The forward also joined Costa Rica for the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup and scored in a 3-1 victory over Guadeloupe on July 12.

Following this transaction, the Dynamo have 24 players under contract for the 2022 season.
