Houston Dynamo forward Mark Sherrod underwent reconstructive surgery today for a torn ACL in his left knee.
The surgery was performed by team physician Dr. Timothy Sitter at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. Sherrod is expected to miss the remainder of the 2014 season.
Sherrod appeared in nine games (three starts) this season, tallying two goals and one assist. The Knoxville, Tenn. native was selected by the Dynamo in the second round (No. 32 overall selection) of the 2014 MLS SuperDraft.
