Houston Dynamo forward Will Bruin was voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) for week 11 of the 2013 MLS season.
Bruin pulled off a spectacular feat in the Dynamo’s 4-0 win over D.C. United as he was involved in all four goals. Bruin scored twice and had two assists to give the Dynamo their sixth win of the season.
Bruin opened the scoring in the 16th minute when he settled a pass from Boniek Garcia, beating his defender, and chipped a shot over D.C. United goalkeeper Bill Hamid. Bruin scored again in the 78th minute when he one-timed a headed pass from Brian Ching through Hamid’s legs.
Bruin’s first assist came in the 28th minute when Hamid cleared a ball straight to Bruin who found an openGiles Barnes in the center of the box for an easy pass into the net. In the 88th minute, Bruin drove to goal and laid off a pass to Andrew Driver who left-footed it into the center of the goal.
