The Houston Dynamo will broadcast their April 30 match at Real Salt Lake exclusively via a live web stream on the team website, the club announced today. The move makes the Dynamo the first team among Houston’s men’s professional sports franchises to offer a regular-season game exclusively online.

Fans can watch the match, which starts at 8:30 p.m. CDT on Saturday, April 30 from Rio Tinto Stadium in Salt Lake City, online at HoustonDynamo.com/Live. The stream will begin at 8 p.m. CDT to feature a 30-minute pregame show discussing lineups, strategy and major storylines around the match. After the final whistle, a 30-minute postgame show will break down all of the action.

“We’re excited to break new ground with our broadcast platforms and create the opportunity for our fans to take the Dynamo game with them anywhere,” said Dynamo president Chris Canetti. “Dynamo fans live in a digital world on a daily basis, and we want to find new ways to directly deliver match content to them. This is an important test that we will learn from and build plans around.”

The stream will feature play-by-play by Glenn Davis and analyst Eddie Robinson, as on most Dynamo television broadcasts. Matt Pedersen will also join the broadcast as sideline reporter.

Davis is in his 11th season with the club after broadcasting the club’s first decade in both roles. The former professional player broadcast the 2002, 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cups for ESPN and was part of NBC’s coverage of the Summer Olympics in 2008 and 2012. Davis called games for FOX Sports at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada and remains part of the network’s coverage of the NWSL and CONCACAF Champions League. He is also lead broadcaster for University of Texas women’s soccer broadcasts on the Longhorn Network.

Robinson is in his fifth season as analyst after retiring with the Dynamo in 2011. Robinson, an 11-year-veteran of MLS and original Dynamo player, won four MLS cup championships, including two with the Dynamo (2006 and 2007). He is one of only nine players with four or more MLS Cup titles. Robinson was named to the MLS All-Star team in 2006 and the MLS Best XI squad in 2007. A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, Robinson played four seasons at the University of North Carolina before he was selected with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2001 MLS SuperDraft by the San Jose Earthquakes. In six seasons in Houston, Robinson made 96 regular-season appearances and added nine playoff games.

Pedersen served as Dynamo radio broadcaster for the last four seasons. He is also the play-by-play broadcaster for Houston Dash telecasts.

The Dynamo return home on Saturday, May 7 to face Sporting Kansas City, followed by a home date on May 14 with Real Salt Lake. Season tickets for the 2016 season are still available starting at a prorated price of $308, and single-game tickets are available starting at $27.
