“This represents another historic day in Dynamo history,” Dynamo president Chris Canetti said. “The first mid-week night match at BBVA Compass Stadium will demonstrate the value and importance of having a downtown venue. We expect a large number of people to spill out of their downtown offices and make the short walk to the stadium. We anticipate a second straight sellout.”
This match represents the first opportunity for the general public to purchase single seats at BBVA Compass Stadium, as the Dynamo recently announced that their inaugural match at BBVA Compass Stadium on May 12 against D.C. United has sold out. A limited amount of tickets is still available, but can only be secured through the acquisition of full season ticket packages. Season ticket packages start at just $400 and can be purchased at HoustonDynamo.com or by calling (713) 276-GOAL.
The Houston Dynamo are now 2-0 in 2012, after defeating the San Jose Earthquakes 1-0 last Saturday at AT&T Park. Houston will continue its seven-game road trip when they travel to the Pacific Northwest Friday night for a match against the Seattle Sounders. Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. CT and the match can be seen nationally on NBC Sports Network and heard locally on 950 AM and 850 AM (Spanish).
