Alberth Elis was active for Honduras, but Los Catrachos could only pick up a point in a 1-1 draw against Costa Rica in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

Elis caused problems in the penalty box early, and had a shot on goal saved off the line by Costa Rican and Vancouver Whitecaps FC defender Kendall Waston in the 12th minute. Elis also brought down the initial long ball into the box in the 36th minute that led to Anthony Lozano's opening goal. Waston would equalize with a header in the 69th minute off a corner kick, however, as both teams came away with a point. Boniek GarcĆa played the final 15 minutes as a substitute for Honduras.

Honduras finishes the international break with a 1-2-1 overall record (4 points) in the Hex.

Adolfo Macahdo started for Panama against the United States and went the full 90 minutes at right back. The U.S. struck first in Panama, as Christian Pulisic found Clint Dempsey in front of goal. But a long throw from Machado just before halftime bounced off an American defender and into the path of Gabriel GĆ³mez for the equalizer. DaMarcus Beasley was an unused substitute for the U.S.

Panama moved to 1-1-2 (5 points) in the Hex, good for third in the standings, while the U.S. went to to 1-2-1 (4 points). All players now return to Houston for the Dynamo's MLS match against the New York Red Bulls this Saturday at BBVA Compass Stadium (7:30 p.m. CT; TICKETS).
