The Houston Dynamo Football Club invites all Dynamo and Dash fans to join players and staff from both teams in MD Anderson’s Boot Walk to End Cancer® on Saturday, Nov. 6. Fans are encouraged to join Team Hold It Down for the 1.2-mile walk in their own neighborhoods.
The Boot Walk to End Cancer, now in its sixth year, is an annual fundraiser that provides support for cancer patient programs, research, prevention and education initiatives, and 100 percent of funds raised directly advance The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s mission to end cancer.
There is no registration fee or minimum fundraising requirement, but participants are encouraged to fundraise to the extent that they are willing and able to do so.
This marks the third year that the Club will form a Boot Walk team. Last year, Team Hold It Down raised more than $15,000 to support MD Anderson and its mission, and we need our fans to help us surpass that total this year!
Visit HoustonDynamoFC.com/BootWalk to register for our team.
This year’s Boot Walk will once again be held virtually, allowing people anywhere in the world to join in by walking 1.2 miles in their own neighborhoods and cities to demonstrate that together, we can give cancer the boot.
The Dynamo have partnered with MD Anderson since 2019, when MD Anderson’s iconic logo was added to the front of the team’s jerseys. The Dash followed suit in 2020, creating a Club-wide partnership that extends from the pitch into the community and around the world.
