Houston Dynamo midfielder Joseph Holland has been named to the Week 6 USL Team of the Week while on loan with the Rio Grande Valley FC Toros, it was announced today.
Holland scored his first professional goal and also tallied an assist in RGV's 3-0 win over OKC Energy FC last Saturday.
“It’s a confidence booster, it makes you feel good. It was a great moment," Holland said of his goal. "But, more pleasing was just to be involved in my first professional win. I think that’s bigger. I’ve been in the squad for the Houston games, and it’s a great feeling when the final whistle blows and we’ve won, but it’s something extra when you’ve played, when you’ve been involved. It was a 3-0 win so it was a solid performance from the whole team, and it’s just a really satisfying feeling going and clapping the fans when you’ve won in a professional game."
