The Methodist Center for Sports Medicine, CES Performance and the Houston Dynamo will open their new training facility at Houston Amateur Sports Park (12131 Kirby Dr., Houston, 77045), during a grand opening celebration from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13.

The event will feature the Dynamo Reserves vs. Chicago Fire Reserves match at 10 a.m at Methodist Championship Field. With a win, the Dynamo Reserves will win the Reserve League Central/Mountain division championship.

The grand opening also includes an autograph session with Dynamo players, performance training demos and testing and evaluations of young athletes in activities such as vertical leap, broad jump, and 40-yard dash. The event will be a family-friendly environment with guided tours, food, music, and giveaways.

The new facility will feature new, cutting-edge therapeutic technology, including an underwater treadmill, which will train athletes during the different levels of care. The center will be staffed by Methodist physicians, who not only take care of the Houston Dynamo, but also the Houston Astros, Houston Texans and the Houston Ballet. CES Performance will also use the facility to train elite level athletes with its unique regimen that enhances performance through sport-specific, position-specific and movement-specific training programs.

“This is a state-of-the-art rehab facility that will give us the opportunity to better care for our pro and amateur athletes,” said Dr. Patrick McCulloch, an orthopedic surgeon with the Methodist Center for Sports Medicine. “It will include new therapeutic equipment that will help us restore athletes to their pre-injury status in a timely manner.”
