The National Women’s Soccer League and Central American broadcast partner Tigo Sports today announced a first-of-its-kind Spanish-language broadcast to be made available to viewers in the United States and Canada at no cost on Watch.NWSLSoccer.com. The season-long program will showcase two regular season matches per week in addition to the UKG NWSL Challenge Cup Playoffs and the NWSL Playoffs, presented by Bud Light.
The program, which kicked off last weekend, continues this Saturday with Spanish-language coverage of the Washington Spirit’s 7 p.m. ET contest against Angel City FC and OL Reign’s 10 p.m. ET match against the Kansas City Current.
"We are thrilled to launch our first-ever Spanish-language broadcast this season,” said NWSL Commissioner Jessica Berman. “We recognize the importance of reaching out to our Spanish-speaking fans and providing them with an immersive soccer experience, and this initiative aligns perfectly with our mission to make our game accessible and enjoyable for all. We’re excited to strengthen our connection with Spanish-speaking audiences in the U.S. and Canada and look forward to authentically showcasing the incredible talent and athleticism of our league."
The new program marks the NWSL’s first league-wide Spanish-language broadcast and follows a partnership the league and Tigo Sports announced earlier this year to make all matches available free-of-charge through the Central American-based distributor’s platform in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama.
The CBS Television Network, CBS Sports Network, Paramount+ and CBS Sports Golazo Network continue to serve as the home for the NWSL’s English-language telecasts in the United States and Canada.
A full list of matches to be distributed on Tigo Sports and other international platforms can be viewed on the NWSL’s website here.
