THE LOSS:

• Dropped the Dynamo to 3-2-0 on the season and 0-2-0 on the road.
• Dropped the Dynamo’s record in April to 1-1-0 after a 2-1-0 mark in March.
• Dropped the Dynamo’s all-time record on the road to 38-85-57.
• Lowered the Dynamo’s all-time record on artificial turf to 3-20-12.
• Moved Houston’s all-time record against New England to 5-11-7 and 2-5-5 at Gillette Stadium.
• Moved head coach Wilmer Cabrera’s record to 12-21-6 overall and 3-2-0 with the Dynamo.

DYNAMO TEAM NOTES:

• The Dynamo used their fifth different starting lineup in five games thus far on the season.
• The Dynamo were tied at halftime for the first time this season. Houston went into the locker room even with their opponents 16 times a year ago and went 2-7-7 in those games.
• The Dynamo were held scoreless in the first half for the first time this season. Houston had scored an MLS-high eight goals in the first half this season coming into today’s game.
• The Dynamo conceded the opening goal for the third consecutive game. With the loss, Houston is now 1-2-0 on the year when conceding the first goal of the game.
• The Dynamo held the possession advantage in the first half, 50.4 – 49.6, over New England. It marked the first time this season that the Dynamo had more than 50 percent of possession in a half. The previous high was 43.4 percent in the first half last week vs. New York Red Bulls.
• The Dynamo won the time of possession metric for the first time this year, holding the ball for 54.3 percent of the game. Houston’s previous high in possession was 41.4 percent at Portland (Mar. 18).
• Houston’s 204 passes attempted in the first half today were the most in a half by the team this year. The previous high was 197 passes in the second half against Columbus Crew SC on March 11.
• The Dynamo’s 472 total passes in the game were the most this season, topping the previous high of 355 passes against Columbus Crew SC (Mar. 11) and at Portland (Mar. 18).
• The Dynamo’s six corner kicks in the first half were the most in a half this season. The six corners were one shy of the team’s season-high for a full game. Houston had seven corners in the season opener vs. Seattle (Mar. 4).
• The Dynamo’s nine corner kicks were a season high and the most since May 10, 2015 vs. Toronto FC.

INDIVIDUAL PLAYER NOTES:

• MF Memo Rodriguez made his Major League Soccer debut when he came on as a substitute in the 83rd minute, replacing MF Ricardo Clark.
• MF Alex made his 50th appearance in MLS regular-season competition for the Dynamo.
• MF Eric Alexander made his fourth start of the season, his seventh as a member of the Dynamo and the 134th of his career.
• DF Jalil Anibaba started his second consecutive game tonight and the 30th of his Dynamo career. Today was Anibaba’s 160th career MLS regular-season appearance.
• MF Ricardo Clark made his 296th start in MLS play and his 221st for the Dynamo this afternoon.
• Clark picked up a yellow card in the 16th minute for a foul on New England MF Lee Nguyen. It was Clark’s first yellow card of the season and the 40th of his Dynamo career across all competitions, which moves him past Bobby Boswell and into second on the club’s all-time list behind Eddie Robinson. Clark’s 33 cautions in MLS regular-season play are the most in club history.
• GK Tyler Deric made his 60th career appearance in regular season play for the Dynamo.
• FW Alberth Elis returned to the Starting XI after a one-game absence following FIFA World Cup Qualifying.
• MF Boniek García started at right back. It marks his first start along the back line since Oct. 18, 2015 vs. Seattle and his fourth all-time. He started at right back on Sept. 23, 2015 vs. Sporting Kansas City and Oct. 4, 2015 at FC Dallas.
• García surpassed 9,500 total minutes played in his MLS regular-season career in the 89th minute. García entered today’s game with 9,411 career minutes played.
• DF Adolfo Machado started his fifth consecutive game.
• Machado, Clark, Alex and Torres are the only four field players who have started all five games this season.
• FW Mauro Manotas made his second start of the 2017 season and the 12th of his career. Manotas started 10 games in 2016, scoring six goals in those games.
• DF Dylan Remick made his third start of the season and his second in a row. It marked the first time that he started consecutive games since June 1-25, 2016 when he started three straight contests for Seattle.
• Remick’s 104 touches in the game were the most by a Dynamo player this season, topping his own total of 71 touches vs. Columbus Crew SC (Mar. 11).
• FW Vicente Sánchez made his second appearance with the Dynamo, coming on as a substitute for FW Alberth Elis in the 71st minute.
• FW Erick Torres made his 11th start for the Dynamo and his 56th overall in MLS play.
• Torres saw his club-record four-game scoring streak come to an end when he was substituted out in the 76th minute.

UPDATES ON PLAYERS WHO DID NOT DRESS

• DF A.J. DeLaGarza is not available due to a right calf strain. He participated in training during the week, but was not deemed fit enough to play in the game.
• MF Juan David Cabezas, DF Leonardo and FW Romell Quioto did not dress due to injury.
