The Preview
The Dynamo (8-7-3) sit just above the playoff line following a 3-2 loss to FC Cincinnati at Nippert Stadium Saturday. Houston fell in a 3-0 hole after 61 minutes on goals by Kekuta Manneh, Rashawn Dally and Victor Ulloa, but pulled to within a goal on a Romell Quioto penalty kick and Nick Hagglund own goal three minutes apart. But the comeback fell just short.
LAFC followed a 5-1 win over Sporting Kansas City with a 6-1 rout of the Vancouver Whitecaps, avenging their first loss of the season. After falling behind five minutes following kickoff on a Yordy Reyna goal, LAFC leveled on an Andy Rose own goal. Adama Diomande put the hosts in front in the 41st minute before Carlos Vela netted a second-half brace, along with goals by Mark-Anthony Kaye and Diego Rossi to complete the comprehensive victory.
