After back-to-back home wins as part of a three-game winning streak, LAFC head to BBVA Compass Stadium to take on a rested Houston Dynamo team that has lost three of their last four games.
LAFC is coming off a 4-1 win over the Philadelphia Union Saturday at Banc of California Stadium, while the Dynamo had a bye week after a 3-2 loss at Sporting Kansas City.

Houston Dynamo
In their league game, the Dynamo (6-6-3) got off to a terrific start as Mauro Manotas scored early and late in the first half to give the visitors a two-goal halftime lead.
That advantage was maintained until just before the hour mark when Daniel Salloi struck for the hosts. Still, it appeared a 2-1 win was in the books before Diego Rubio scored in the 85th minute to level and Khiry Shelton followed with the winner two minutes from full time. It was the second time in the last four games the Dynamo conceded a late decisive goal.
Houston played the final few minutes with 10 men after Eric Alexander was sent off for his second bookable offense in the 87th minute.
In a friendly match on Friday, the Dynamo lost to C.F. Monterrey, 2-1, in the 10th anniversary of the BBVA Compass Dynamo Charities Cup. All proceeds benefitted KIPP Opportunity Campus.

LAFC
Adama Diomande continued his torrid scoring streak, netting the first hat trick in the club’s young history in a 4-1 rout of the Union Saturday at Banc of California Stadium.
Diomande, who has scored seven goals in the last four games, opened the scoring in the 25th minute and added his second two minutes before halftime. Ten minutes after Fafa Picault pulled Philadelphia back a goal, Diomande had his hat trick in the 55th minute.
Latif Blessing, who had a pair of assists, closed out the scoring deep in second-half stoppage time as LAFC (9-4-3) stretched their unbeaten streak at the Banc to seven games and pulled within two points of Western Conference-leading Sporting Kansas City.
“I really don’t care about the numbers, of course. I’m not that guy,” Diomande said. “I’m just going into training every day smiling with my teammates. It’s just a bonus to get that history. It’s a plus in my book.”
