Daly makes her first FIFA World Cup appearance
Rachel Daly and England defeated Argentina this afternoon at Stade Océane, earning their second win in the group stage of the tournament.
England forward Jodie Taylor netted the winning goal in the 61st minute when teammate Beth Mead drilled a low cross into the box for Taylor to tap it into the back of the net.
In her first FIFA World Cup with the Lionesses, Daly made her debut in the 87th minute when she entered for teammate Nikita Parris. With Friday's victory, the 2018 Dash Team MVP and England are sitting at the top of Group D with six points, and have secured advancement out of the group stage.
Rachel Daly and England (2-0-0) will take on the 2015 FIFA World Cup runner up Japan (1-1-0) at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19 at Stade de Nice in Nice.
