Day 4 of the Houston Dynamo Residential Elite Camp, presented by Statoil, began with another training session in preparation for the day’s All-Star Game. The kids attempted to make one last impression on the coaches to show why they should be playing with the best campers in San Antonio.

After the training was finished, campers made their way to the cafeteria for lunch and the semifinals of the futsal tournament; however, before the campers could make their way to the court, a special guest arrived to talk to the campers. Dynamo forward Dominic Oduro made the trek from Houston to San Antonio to spend his off day with the campers and speak to them about what it takes to play at the top level.

Oduro called out the roster of the all-star team during lunch, and the players then made their way to the court for the semifinal matches of the futsal tournament. After some intense action, teams calling themselves Paraguay and South Korea emerged as the winners of their respective groups and prepared for the final the next day.

Pre-game warm-ups began after a short rest, and the players prepared for the two full-sided games leading up to the All-Star Game. The ’95 and ’96 boys played against the ‘97s, falling 1-0, while the ’98 boys played the ‘99s to a 2-2 draw.

After the full-sided scrimmages, the players took to the field for the camp's All-Star Game. After 90 minutes, the teams were tied at one, and the game moved on to penalty kicks. It took eight rounds of kicks to eventually determine a winner.

The campers finished the day with dinner and some well-deserved free time as they prepared for the last day of camp.
