Day 1 - Sunday, June 13
The Houston Dynamo 2010 Residential Elite Camp, presented by Statoil, kicked off Sunday at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. More than 100 Dynamo Academy hopefuls arrived, looking to fulfill their dreams and become a member of the internationally known Houston Dynamo.
These prospects began their five-day tryout with an opening ceremony, where Dynamo Director of Youth Development James Clarkson spoke about what it takes to become a part of and represent the Houston Dynamo.
After the opening ceremonies, the players were split up into groups and were eager to show off what they have been working so hard on since the moment they touched a soccer ball. The first training session went smoothly, and the entire Dynamo coaching staff agreed the level of talent was very high.
After the training session, the potential Academy players sat down and enjoyed a very pleasant spaghetti dinner and chatted about the excitement of the upcoming week!
