Robert Martinez and his family became Houston Dynamo FC Season Ticket Members in 2014 after following the team closely for the past 14 seasons.
“One of my favorite parts of matchday is the pregame experience,” said Martinez, who has lived in Houston for 37 years. “Attending every match as a season ticket holder is a special experience. If you have not attended a match before, you should check it out, because it’s amazing.”
When it comes to a favorite Dynamo memory, Martinez said it is more personal than something that the team achieved on the pitch.
“One of my favorite moments at Shell Energy Stadium is when my sister was honored as the Hero of the Match on the field for her military service to our country,” Martinez said proudly.
As a Season Ticket Member, Martinez said his favorite benefit are discounts at the official team store. Members also have the opportunity to meet Dynamo players at various points throughout the season both at the stadium on gameday and at exclusive events around Houston.
“My favorite current player is goalkeeper Steve Clark,” Martinez said. “Overall, forward Mauro Manotas is my favorite all-time Dynamo. He scored a lot of memorable goals during his time here.”
The Club will celebrate Hispanic Heritage night at Shell Energy Stadium on Saturday, and with theme nights on the mind, Martinez immediately knew another theme night he would love to see at a home match.
“A wrestling night would be awesome!” He said.
