Earlier today, Concacaf announced the full match schedule for the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup. Shell Energy Stadium will host four Gold Cup group stage matches this summer.
Shell Energy Stadium hosts six national teams for four matches across three days in July. Tickets for both doubleheaders will be available to the public on Tuesday, April 25, at 10:00 AM CDT via GoldCup.org.
The July 1 doubleheader at Shell Energy Stadium features Group D and is headlined by a matchup between the national teams of Guatemala and Canada. Kickoff for that contest is scheduled for 8:30 PM CDT. Canada enters the Gold Cup on the heels of its first appearance in the FIFA World Cup in 32 years last November. The opening match of that doubleheader will feature Cuba against the winner of one of the Gold Cup Prelims play-in matches at 6:30 PM.
Canada and Cuba will stay in Houston to face off three days later on July 4 in the final match of Group D play for both sides. Kickoff for that match will be at 5:30 PM, followed by a Group C clash between Panama and El Salvador at 7:30 PM. Panama have twice finished as runner-up in Gold Cup play and will look for their first regional title this summer, while El Salvador will look to build upon a Quarterfinal run in the 2021 tournament.
