Houston Dynamo FC goalkeeper Steve Clarkwas named to the MLSSoccer.com Team of Matchday for Matchday 11, the league announced today.
The Dynamo played to a scoreless draw with Real Salt Lake on Saturday to remain unbeaten at home, and Clark is yet to concede a goal at Shell Energy Stadium this season. He joins defender Daniel Steres (Matchday 9), forward Amine Bassi (Matchday 7), defender Franco Escobar (Matchday 7), midfielder Héctor Herrera (Matchday 4) and midfielder Artur (Matchday 5) as Dynamo players named to the matchday team this season.
The veteran shot stopper reached 20,000 league minutes during Saturday’s match, finishing with five saves and two clearances against Salt Lake, while earning Man of the Match honors. This was Clark’s fifth clean sheet of the season.
The 37-year-old helped Houston make history in the previous match, as the Dynamo became the first team in MLS history to open the season with four consecutive shutout victories at home with a 1-0 victory over Inter Miami on Matchday 9.
