Houston Dash goalkeeper Jane Campbell, defender Abby Dahlkemper and midfielder Kristie Mewis were named to the U.S. Women’s National Team roster for a pair of friendlies later this month, the federation announced earlier today.
The four-time FIFA Women’s World Cup champions will face Paraguay for a pair of friendlies in Ohio. The USWNT host the South American team in Cleveland on Sept. 16 and the game will air live on ESPN 2. The USWNT close the two-game series in Cincinnati on Tuesday, Sept. 21 and that match will air on FS1 and TUDN.
Campbell has earned five caps with the U.S. Women’s National Team, including the team’s 6-0 victory over Argentina to capture the 2021 SheBelieves Cup championship on February 24. The Dash goalkeeper has three clean sheets in 11 appearances for Houston this season.
Dahlkemper joined the Dash on Aug. 29 and has appeared in two games for Houston this season. The USWNT veteran has earned 74 appearances at the senior level and won a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Mewis has one goal and two assists in nine apperances for Houston this season. The midfielder has earned 28 appearances for USWNT and joined Campbell and Dahlkemper at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
