Three Dynamo players will depart for national team duty on Sunday as both Concacaf and Conmebol enter the final stretch of their FIFA World Cup qualifying campaigns.

Forward Sebastian Ferreira will join Paraguay for a pair of Conmebol World Cup qualifying matches. Paraguay will host Ecuador on Thursday, March 24 and travel to Peru five days later. Ferreira joined Paraguay for the World Cup qualifiers in Sept. 2021 and he earned his first senior national team callup when international soccer resumed in the fall of 2020.

Midfielder Adalberto “Coco” Carrasquilla will join Panama for three key matches in their quest to qualify for the FIFA World Cup for the second time. Panama enters the final round of Concacaf World Cup qualifiers with a slight one-point lead over Costa Rica for the final spot available in the region. The fourth-place team will earn a spot in the inter-confederation playoff against the winner of the Oceania Football Confederation final in June.

Panama will host Honduras on Thursday and travel to Orlando five days later to face the U.S. Men’s National Team. Panama will close the final round of the qualifiers at home against Canada on March 30.

Midfielder Darwin Ceren and El Salvador enter the final stretch of matches with a puncher’s chance of the fourth and final spot in the region. The Central American squad travel to Jamaica on Thursday, March 24 and host Costa Rica on Sunday. The final match for El Salvador will be against Mexico in the Estadio Azteca on March 30.

The Dynamo will return to league play on April 2 with their first road trip to the east coast. Houston will face Inter Miami CF at DRV PNK Stadium.
