Aside from seeing them on the field or on TV, we don’t always know everything about our players. We placed our starting forward, Giles Barnes under the spotlight to learn a little bit more about him!
Q: What time do you get up in the morning?
A: 7:45am
Q: What do you eat for breakfast?
A: Weetabix, Almond Milk and a Banana
Q: Before you go to training, is there anything else you usually do?
A: I call my family.
Q: On the way to training, do you listen to the radio or your own music?
A: My own music, mainly old school R&B.
Q: Are you usually the first to training – or the last?
A: First!
Q: What do you keep in your locker?
A: My asthma inhaler and personal belongings.
Q: Do you have any special warm-up routine before training?
A: I do a pre-workout in the gym consisting of core exercises, pull-ups and push-ups.
Q: What part of training do you enjoy the most?
A: 9v9 and small sided games.
Q: Which teammate is the best trainer?
A: Corey Ashe.
Q: Who is the funniest player in the locker room?
A: Tony Cascio.
Q: Do you always head straight home after training?
A: I occasionally go to the Galleria.
Q: How do you spend your evenings at home?
A: Depending on the heat! If it is hot I will watch a film with the A/C on high!
Q: What time do you go to bed?
A: 11:00pm
