The Houston Dynamo Football Club announced today that the club has reached a multi-year agreement with SeatGeek, the innovative ticketing platform, to become the official ticketing partner of Houston Dynamo FC, the Houston Dash and BBVA Stadium, starting with the 2021 season. The partnership with SeatGeek gives guests of BBVA Stadium an enhanced, digital, safe and seamless experience when it comes to buying, selling and transferring tickets, and contact-free mobile entry. The partnership comes on the heels of the club’s recently announced rebrand, which focused in part on elevating the game-day experience by creating a fan-first, tech-forward experience for their supporters.
The Club chose SeatGeek as their new ticketing partner because of the platform’s progressive, innovative approach to digital ticketing. Upon arrival to matches, fans will directly scan into BBVA stadium using the SeatGeek app on their personal device. Fans will find it easier to buy, sell, and transfer tickets while taking advantage of several cool new features - from traffic predictions to weather alerts and contact-free entry - all within the SeatGeek mobile experience. The platform also recently launched SeatGeek Adapt, which helps teams and venues use tools like contactless entry and staggered entrance times so their fans can enjoy games safely.
“The digital innovation and fan-first focus offered by SeatGeek aligned perfectly with our recent rebrand vision and that is creating the best experience for our fans, supporters, and guest of BBVA Stadium”, said Dionna Widder, Chief Revenue Officer, Houston Dynamo FC. “SeatGeek’s commitment to creating an innovative, fan-friendly ticketing experience is where we want to take our clubs heading into next year.”
The Dynamo and Dash join a strong roster of Major League Soccer and National Women’s Soccer League teams that have partnered with SeatGeek, including Portland Timbers and Portland Thorns, Sporting Kansas City, Austin FC, as well as an overall league partnership between SeatGeek and MLS. The platform is also the majority ticketer of the English Premier League, with partners like Liverpool F.C. and Manchester City F.C. SeatGeek’s partner roster also includes many other U.S. based major league teams, including the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys and announced last week, the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers.
“We couldn’t be happier to work with Houston Dynamo FC to support their goal of making an easier and more seamless fan experience when it comes to ticketing,” said Paulo Cunha, President, Consumer at SeatGeek. “Soccer is such an important sport for SeatGeek as we expand our partnership roster and we're excited to team up with one of the more forward-thinking MLS clubs.”
The ticketing integration will kick off at the start of 2021 and in time for the start of the 2021 MLS and NWSL seasons. Members and Club Supporters can visit www.HoustonDynamoFC.com/SeatGeek to learn more.
