Dynamo Dos are coming off a 3-1 road victory over Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 on Wednesday evening. Forwards Stephen Annor and Jordy Burbano each scored their first goals of the season, while attacker Exon Arzú netted his second goal of the campaign with a bottom left finish from the penalty spot. Notably, the win marked Dynamo 2’s first-ever victory in Vancouver, improving their record to 4-2-0 (WLD) this season. Houston currently sits second in the Western Conference with 12 points through six matches.
Additionally, the match saw attacker Joshua Bolma make his Dynamo 2 debut after the Club announced his signing on Wednesday morning. The 22-year-old joins Dynamo Dos from the New England Revolution, where he spent the majority of the 2024 and 2023 seasons with the club’s MLS NEXT Pro team. With Revolution II, he made 43 appearances (24 starts), while recording three goals and three assists. Bolma played a key role in helping the team earn their most points and wins in 2023 to clinch the team’s first ever MLS NEXT Pro playoff appearance, where he started in two postseason matches.
Austin II enters Sunday’s match sitting 12th in the Western Conference with five points and a 1-2-2 (WLD) record. Their only win came in the home opener versus Colorado Rapids 2, where Austin earned a 4-2 victory. The team kicked off the month of April with a 1-1 draw against North Texas SC, falling 4-2 in the penalty shootout, and a 4-0 loss to Whitecaps 2.
