HOUSTON (Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024) - MLS NEXT Pro announced the 2024 regular season schedule, which includes the 28-game slate for Houston Dynamo 2. The league enters its third season in 2024 and Dynamo 2 look to build on back-to-back appearances in the postseason under the leadership of head coach Kenny Bundy.
Dynamo 2 open the regular season at home on Sunday, March 17 when they host SKC II at SaberCats Stadium. Three of the first four games will be played at SaberCats Stadium and that stretch includes a visit from in-state rival Austin FC II. Dynamo 2 will face Austin and North Texas SC three times each as part of the new schedule format. The team will travel to Choctaw Stadium on April 28 for their first meeting with North Texas SC.
Dynamo Dos will close their home slate in May with a match against Tacoma Defiance, the first meeting between the two squads since the Western Conference quarterfinals last October.
Houston will host Colorado Rapids 2 on Sunday, June 23 for the first of three matches this season. Last season, each team traded points away from home with Dynamo 2 earning a 3-1 victory at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Aug. 9 with goals from Diego Gonzalez and Isaiah Reid.
The team will close the 2024 regular season at home when they host Whitecaps FC 2 on Sunday, Oct. 6 at SaberCats Stadium.
