Houston Dash goalkeeper Erin McLeod and midfielder Kaylyn Kyle have been called up by the Canada Women’s National Team, while the United States Women’s National Team has called in defenders Whitney Engen and Meghan Klingenberg, it was announced today.

Canada and the United States will face off in a friendly match on May 8 at Investors Group Field in Winnipeg, Canada. The game will be shown live on ESPN3 and ESPNW at 7 p.m. CT. This is the second meeting between the two nations in 2014, with the U.S. defeating Canada 1-0 in Frisco, Texas, in January.

McLeod, 31, has earned 96 caps for Canada at the senior level. McLeod was named team captain for the Dash at the start of the season, and has started each of the first three games of the year in goal.

Kyle was acquired by the Dash in a trade on Tuesday and has made 79 appearances for Canada, scoring five goals. The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, native started the first two games of the NWSL season for the Boston Breakers before her trade to the Bayou City.

McLeod and Kyle will join Canada for training camp after the Dash’s home game against FC Kansas City on May 3, and will rejoin the club before the May 11 road match against the Chicago Red Stars.

Engen, 26, and Klingenberg, 25, are currently with Swedish side Tyresö FF and will join the Dash after the UEFA Women’s Champions League final on May 22. Engen has earned 16 caps for the U.S. and has made an appearance in six of the team’s nine games in 2014. Klingenberg has made 11 appearances for her country, including starts in each of the USWNT’s last four matches.
