STARTING XI NOTES:

  • After rotating the lineup in each of the first seven games of the season, head coach Wilmer Cabrera is using the same lineup for the second consecutive week. It’s actually the third time this Starting XI has been used this season (March 30 at Colorado, April 27 vs. Columbus).
  • GK Joe Willis can make his 91st career start in MLS regular-season play and his 69th with the Dynamo.
  • Willis can earn his 24th win with the Dynamo in MLS regular-season play and the 30th of his MLS career.
  • Willis can record his 17th clean sheet in MLS regular-season play and his second in as many games. A clean sheet today would mark the second time in his career that he’s posted shutouts in back-to-back games and the first time since July 7 and 14, 2018.
  • DF Adam Lundkvist stands to start his eighth consecutive league game at left back. It will be his 20th start with the Dynamo.
  • DF Maynor Figueroa is in line to make his seventh start with the club and the 81st of his MLS career today.
  • DF Kiki Struna looks to make his seventh consecutive start in league play this afternoon.
  • DF A.J. DeLaGarza will make his seventh start and of the 2019 MLS season today. It will be DeLaGarza’s 237th career start in league play.
  • MF Boniek García will make his 177th appearance in MLS regular-season play today, which will tie him with former Houston FW Will Bruin and former DF Bobby Boswell for fourth on the club’s all-time list.
  • García will make his eighth consecutive start in league play and his eighth straight start in all competitions.
  • García will wear the captain’s armband once again. He wore the armband three times last season and today will be his eighth time this season.
  • MF Matías Vera will make his seventh start of the season and his 11th in 12 matches across all competitions this year.
  • MF Tomás Martínez will make his eighth league start of the season and the 44th of his MLS career.
  • Martínez can score in back-to-back games for the first time in his career if he hits the net today. A goal would also be the 10th of his MLS career.
  • MF Memo Rodriguez will make his fith start of the season and his seventh appearance of the year this afternoon.
  • Rodriguez can reclaim the team scoring lead if he scores a goal today and FW Alberth Elis does not, or if he scores more goals than Elis in the game.
  • FW Mauro Manotas will make his 105th career appearance in league play for the Dynamo and make his 72nd career start.
  • Manotas can score in his second consecutive game. It would be the second time this year and his eighth career multi-game scoring streak.
  • Manotas could tie former Dynamo MF Brad Davis for third on the club’s all-time scoring list in league play if he scores three goals today.
  • FW Alberth Elis is slated to start for the 52nd time in league play with the Dynamo and will make his 63rd career league appearance.
  • Elis can score or deliver an assist for the sixth consecutive game, extending a career-long streak.
  • Elis can tie former Dynamo MF Brian Mullan (19) for sixth on the club’s all-time assist list with one today.
  • Elis could become the fifth player in club history to record 20 or more goals and 20 or more assists in league play if he has two assists today. He would join Brian Ching (56/22), Will Bruin (50/20), Brad Davis (41/104) and Ricardo Clark (28/23).


SUBSTITUTES:

  • GK Tyler Deric could make just his second appearance as a substitute and his first since Aug. 29, 2014 at Sporting Kansas City.
  • MF Juan David Cabezas can make his fourth straight appearance and the 37th appearance of his Dynamo career if he comes off the bench today.
  • MF Darwin Cerén can make his 104th career appearance in league play and 29th with the Dynamo if he comes in today.
  • DF Alejandro Fuenmayor can make his second career appearance off the bench if he comes into today’s game. His only previous appearance as a substitute was April 21, 2018 vs. Toronto.
  • DF Kevin Garcia can make his third appearance of the season, and his first off the bench, if he comes into today’s game. It would be his 21st career appearance in league play.
  • MF Tommy McNamara stands to make his 100th career appearance in all competitions if he comes off the bench today.
  • McNamara can extend his streak of playing in every game in all competitions this season if he comes into this afternoon’s game.
  • FW Romell Quioto returns to the 18-man matchday roster for the first time since March 16 vs. Vancouver. He missed the last four matches with a right knee injury sustained on international duty with Honduras.
