Romell Quioto is back on the training field, and could be back at BBVA Compass Stadium before long.

Quioto has been out of action since dislocating his left shoulder on March 24 while on international duty with Honduras. Dynamo medical staff initially put the timetable for his return at 2-4 weeks upon their examination on March 30, and it looks like Quioto see action sooner rather than later.

Dynamo head coach Wilmer Cabrera said after training on Thursday that Quioto has been practicing "normally" and "regularly" with the full team this week as they prepare for Minnesota United FC this Saturday (7:30 p.m. | TICKETS).

"He’s been practicing normally the whole week, so that’s positive for him first, it’s positive for the club," Cabrera said, "and so he’s going to be in contention to be ready."

Quioto's return would be a boost for the Dynamo attack, which was shut out for the first time with only five shots last weekend against the New England Revolution. The 25-year-old striker has scored a goal in each of his three games with the Dynamo thus far.
