Houston Dynamo forward Romell Quioto won MLS Goal of the Week for Week 1 of the 2017 season with his curling effort from the team's 2-1 win over Seattle Sounders FC.
Quioto won with 28% of the vote, beating out San Jose's Anibal Godoy (25%), Portland's Fanendo Adi (22%), Atlanta's Yamil Asad (21%), and Minnesota's Christian Ramirez (4%).
The goal was Quioto's first in Major League Soccer, coming on his debut, and proved to be the game-winner on Opening Day against the defending MLS Cup champions. Quioto and the Dynamo are in action at BBVA Compass Stadium this Saturday against Columbus Crew SC (7:30 p.m. CT, TICKETS).
