In a game that saw a little bit of everything on its way to a penalty shootout, Houston Dynamo 2 suffered the first blemish on it's home record as Colorado Rapids 2 earned the extra point after a 1-1 draw between the sides at AVEVA Stadium. With the team heading into a bye week before heading on the road to Minnesota, Head Coach Kenny Bundy, forward Kyle Edwards, and defender Talen Maples reflected on the match postgame.

"It wasn't good enough. It just wasn't good enough. We came into the game really confident in the way that we wanted to play and what we were going to see from them. And everything matched up to what we had prepared for... But I think if you leave a game like that to chance and keep a team in, you keep them some hope that it becomes more of a battle. So there's a lot to address. You know, we have a bye weekend next weekend. There's a lot to address. But the other thing is, this is what happens with younger guys and guys that are still really developing their craft, it's not going to take great days. So it's our job to make sure that we learn from this."

"I think when we went in, to kind of talk about some of the culture that we really needed to play with, and we went out and went over the goal, to get one back in the first 20, and the connection came from practicing the plays almost over the past couple months, it has been a great thing, we finished the day in the office."

"Yeah, I think it's like a tricky situation, for sure. Clearly, nobody wants to fight. Nobody wants to have any harm done in that sense after a game. We have so much care for each other. And to be honest, that's what wins games. Tactics, all that stuff goes out the window when it comes to the 88th minute, and you're one on one trying to get an extra goal. It's that love for each other. It's care for each other."
