Following a visit to a Houston Habitat for Humanity build site, Houston Dynamo forward Brian Ching connected with the organization’s mission of helping families to move from substandard housing by building simple, decent homes. In response, Ching committed to fundraising $75,000 to build a Houston Habitat home.

Construction on The House that Ching Built is slated to begin in October 2010. As with all Houston Habitat homes, The House that Ching Built will be purchased at-cost and with a zero-percent interest mortgage by a hard-working, low-income family.
